I just came back from Cabo San Lucas. I went with my fiance and we stayed at an all inclusive resort called RIU Santa Fe. The resort was very beautiful, but wayyy too big.
Our room was about a 15 minute walk from the front desk and all the restaurants.
Next time I will choose a smaller resort.
RIU resorts have many many properties all over the Caribbean and they also have some in Europe. I definitely recommend the RIU company, their staff are very friendly and accommodating, and they were very helpful. The resort was spotless and was constantly being cleaned.
My mom stayed at a RIU resort in Jamaica and she had the same experience.
Cabo itself was beautiful and I am glad I went, but to me it is the same as Cancun, and for someone who hates to fly, Cancun is MUCH closer!
I have one recommendation that should not be missed if you ever go there.
There is a restaurant called the Sunset Mona Lisa, Oh my goodness what a beautiful place.
The dining area is on little plateaus of a cliff overlooking the sea of Cortez, and the view is breathtaking. The food is also very very good. The total package is so romantic, even the least romance minded people will get all caught up in the ambiance.
They have a website
www.sunsetmonalisa.com with pictures, but there is no way to capture the beauty of it with a camera.
I will post some pics too, once I figure out where I put them!!
OK so I just thought of my favorite thing about Cabo, the guacamole was TO DIE FOR. OMG I could eat bowls and bowls of that stuff, it was so fresh and yummy.
I am now obsessed with finding good guac here in Atlanta, so far the best I have had is at Mr Taco in Roswell, FANTASTIC.
Anyone out there have any ideas where to find good guacamole in Atlanta??
