I have been on many fun & exciting vacations throughout my lifetime and I would have to say Cancun would definitely be #1 on my list. I was very shocked when I got a chance to see and experience Cancun, because it wasn't what I expected. I thought it was going to be very poor, dirty, and just overall what people usually think of when they hear Mexico. Nope! I was wrong..it turned out to be the complete opposite. My family and I stayed at a very nice resort named IberoStar. Everything was all inclusive..all the food you can eat & unlimited alcoholic beverages :-) The beach was just amazing..white sand, with crystal clear turquoise blue water, I couldnt get enough of it! There were all kinds of great activities going on everyday like contests, and games. Water sports is also a big thing in Cancun! If you are into sailing, sea kayaking, jet skiing, snorkeling or scuba diving . . .then Cancun is the perfect vacation spot for you! After spending all day on the beach, you think your day is over? NO! You still have Cancun's nightlife to experience. The resort I stayed at had a club that opened up every night at 11 p.m and party didn't stop till 4 a.m :-) I had a blast every night I went there. One night everyone in our group decided to get a taxi and drive down to downtown. Again, I thought..hmm we are going to downtown..its probably going to be dirty, unsafe and I expected to see a lot of homeless people, but it was the COMPLETE opposite. When I was driving down the streets of downtown cancun my mouth just wouldn't shut, and I didn't want to blink because it was just so beautiful! To me, I see Cancun being a minature version of vegas. There were nice resorts everywhere, flashing billboard signs, world class clubs in every corner. I just couldnt believe everything Cancun had to offer! I definitely felt like I was on MTV's Spring Break. So.. Is that it? That all? Is that what makes Cancun Mexico the number one vacation destination? Yes! I am not exadurating when I say Cancun was my favorite vacation spot ever! I would recommend vacationing in Cancun to anyone, and I guarantee you, you will have just as much fun as I did and you will not come home disappointed :-)
